Effective treatment of varicose veins on the legs at home
Treatment of varicose veins on the legs at home allows you to get rid of the disease without the use of medications. However, it is recommended to use such methods of therapy only after consultation with the attending physician, since independent actions can sometimes do more harm than good.
The causes of varicose veins
Before treating varicose veins on the legs at home, experts advise to understand the causes of the pathology. This is explained by the fact that any, even the most effective treatment will bring only a temporary result, if the factor that affects the development of the disease is not eliminated.
The main causes of varicose veins are:
- sedentary lifestyle;
- weak vessels;
- hormonal disorders;
- weight lifting;
- leg injuries;
Sellers, teachers, hairdressers, porters, couriers and other people who have to spend a long time standing on their feet are especially at risk.
After the cause of the pathology has been established, the patient should see a doctor. If in the near future there is no such possibility, then you need to think about how to get rid of varicose veins on the legs at home, because the earlier therapy is started, the more benefits it will bring.
Homemade ointments against varicose veins
Homemade ointments are distinguished by their effectiveness, despite the fact that their preparation does not take much time and effort. A very good effect is given by an ointment made from calendula flowers (50 grams) and melted pork fat (200 grams). Some people have an intolerance to pork fat, in this case, healers recommend replacing the ingredient with vegetable oil, but this is not necessary without special need, since preparations on animal fats are better preserved.
Initially prepared pork fat is placed in a saucepan and melted over low heat. Freshly picked calendula flowers are crushed and put in a saucepan to the melted fat, allowed to boil and immediately removed from the heat. After that, the mixture is covered with a lid and left to infuse for about 40 minutes. After the expiration of time, the agent is put on fire and slightly warmed up, and then filtered through cheesecloth. The cake from the flowers is thrown away, and the liquid is poured into a clean jar and put into the refrigerator. The consistency of the finished ointment resembles a thick cream. Apply it to sore areas in the form of applications. When choosing this method of treatment, you should remember that you will need to apply the ointment daily for several months, otherwise the result will be subtle.
Another recipe is often used for home treatment of varicose veins. To prepare the ointment, grind 5 parts of comfrey root, one part of dry comfrey leaves, white acacia and chestnut flowers. The vegetable mass is poured with 2 parts of melted interior pork fat, put on a slow fire and simmer for about 3 hours, and then filtered through cheesecloth. Folk healers recommend using bandages with this ointment, applying them to sore areas for 3 days, and then changing them to fresh ones. The course of treatment is 5 approaches for 3 days, if necessary, the treatment can be repeated after one and a half to two weeks.
